Santa Claus is Coming to Town
For the past five years or so, Darrell has played Santa at his sister's church. He has a blast and the kids are great. One year a little boy tried to follow Darrell out so he could see Rudolph. So far no one has succeeded in discovering Darrell's true identity! He makes a terrific Santa, if I do say so myself. Enjoy these pictures from tonight's dinner and program.

The suit he originally wore was ancient and falling apart. When they ordered a new one, it was huge! But couldn't be returned, so it is large. I think I could get in there with him and there'd still be room! Next year, he's going to grow his own beard out a bit more just for this program. Then he won't have to wear the beard and maybe not even the wig!
How fun! I hope he does grow his beard out--that was is a little much. Dad makes a great Santa.

This is so great. I bet he is the best Santa- how nice of him. It looks like he enjoys it.
He makes a great Santa. And he has the heart to be Santa. I think it would be awesome if he could grow his beard out.
The suit is an 2xl but i think they sent us a 4xl. It is very warm (one for cold weather) but it works. Yes he makes a very good Santa. The kids love him...He takes the time to listen to the kids and makes sure not to promise anything that the parents won't approve of.....
