IYHO

Just a couple things I've put together lately.   I bought this little cheese dome a while back for maybe 50 cents.  Spray painted it green, then scuffed it up and put a brown glaze on it.  Still needed a little sumpin' though.  Out came the E6000 and a dollar store candleholder.

Add a couple of croissants from Hobby Lobby and I'm a happy girl!

I had this little wooden tray from Goodwill that I've been wondering what to do with.  Found the pedestal at a thrift store, brought out the E6000 again, and voila!  Just what I pictured.

Now for the $64,000 question...what is it?
Hmmm....
Daughter Lauren did this with it and I thought YES!

Here's where you come in--hence, the title of this post (In Your Humble Opinion)--what color to paint it?  Black?  White?  Yellow?  Turquoise?  Pink?  Purple?  Mod Podge something in the bottom?
Dare I be daring or stick with the tried and true?

Hmmmmmm I'd probably go white and antique it - or maybe the same green as the cheese dome and then you'd have a set. They're precious though!

It sort of depends on the other colors around where you're gonna use it. Me? I'd give it a base coat of white, then after it had dried VERY good I paint it flat black, then go back with sand paper and rough up the edges a bit. I love that look. That's my HO.

Gorgeous! My answer depends on where/how you're going to use it. If it's in the same area as the cheese dome, then I'd go with the same green. Like Donna said, make it a set. Otherwise black. But I'm not creative ... so pay no attention to my suggestion. ;-)

You clever, crafty people are annoying. Because I want to be like that but I'M NOT! JEALOUS is what I am! Go forth and be daring! LOL

I'm with Donna-I like that greenish shade on the cheese dome. Do you have this piece outside? If so, definitely green.

I agree with the others, if you are going to use it with the cheese dome, then green. But I do like the idea of white and then antique it. ;o)

Oh paint it a really pretty greenish/bluish color, it needs some perking up.

Love what you did with the cheese dome. I bought one a couple of years ago at Goodwill and have never been inspired to do anything with it...until now. Thanks.
