Three or More Tuesday

Today is Three or More Tuesday at The Gypsy's Corner hosted by Tam. The is the first time I've joined--hope you enjoy seeing part of my Willow Tree angel collection. Then be sure to hop on over and see the other links. Such a variety! I love linking up with all these talented ladies.

This is the piece that started it all. I've always loved these angels, but for some reason never purchased any. When our oldest daughter passed away in 2006, a dear friend gave me this Angel in Prayer. She sat on my night table until other angels joined her.

This is Grandmother. Becoming "Beeba" and "Grandma" to five of the most beautiful, wonderful grandchildren in the world has been one of the greatest blessings and joys in my life. These little people fill my life with so much love. If they feel anything about me like I felt for my grandmother, my life will be complete.

This one is called Together. Darrell often comes up behind me and puts his arms around me like this. I reach up and stroke the beard I love. When I saw this in the store, it reminded me so much of him that I had to buy it and give it to him for our anniversary. I see us every time I look at it.

I have several others of these angels, but these have a special place in my heart. Always a good gift (hint, hint to my kids who read this blog). I have two granddaughters and I have started giving them Willow Tree angels every Christmas. Thanks for stopping by--come back anytime. Oh, and be sure to check out the other participants of Three or More Tuesday over at The Gypsy's Corner!

Tradition is very important for kids. It is great that they get one for Christmas. They will always remember it.

I received my first one when I was expecting our youngest. I guess you could say I'm starting my collection. I can't wait to be a grandmother someday. :)

These are truly simple, primitive almost, yet very appealing in their display of emotions. My husband use to buy them for his mother before she died a few years ago.

Love your angels. And it is extra nice that they each have a special meaning to you.

I believe it is so important to have things that touch your heart when you see them. That makes them priceless.

I love your collection! I too have seen these before and always thought each and every one was precious. I guess I am thinking that I need someone to give me one as a gift!! :-)

Your blog looks great. I will have to come back when I have a bit more time. Have a wonderful week, Beverly!

You know, I always see this and think I would like to participate, but my brain doesn't seem to be holding on to that idea. Most of the time it seems all I can do to keep up with Pink Saturday.

My son has a couple of the Willow Tree. I know he has the father and son. I think they are wonderful. The designs give such a sense of serenity.

Collections with stories and traditions attached turn into family heirlooms. Thank you for sharing yours with us and sorry that I'm so late visiting.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Tam
