I don't always look at it and I rarely put much stock in it--until I get one like the one below. Then I wonder if God is trying to get my attention. I truly feel that the Lord tries to reach us through people and in different ways. Who knows? Maybe even Facebook can be one of those ways.
On this day, God wants you to know...

You remember the old deodorant commercial that says "never let them see you sweat"? My mantra is "never let them see the pain". Or the fear or whatever. One thing I've learned in life is to put up walls and be selective about who I let in. I've been hurt and betrayed, as I'm sure all of you have. It's hard to get past that after a while and be open and honest with everyone.
Dare I try to be real? Can you handle it? Can I?

it is one of the hardest things ever...to honestly be yourself. we hide behind mask daily,afraid of letting our true self out. on the rare occasions that we do, that we share and trust we've been burned so back up goes the walls... but you can only take this for so long... and God can only hammer into our heads and hearts that we are terrific just the way we are... if the ones that honestly love us can accept that then it is their loss... i vote be yourself... i am ready, willing and able to accept the girl inside that you hide!

Of course I can handle it! By all means, be yourself, let us in. I do hear you though about those darn walls, it's very hard to let them down.
