It's that time again, kiddies! Can you believe I forgot last week?? Sorry bout that. We'll chalk it up to menopause--it's a catch all!
I'm grateful today for rain. That may sound crazy with all the wetness we've experienced this spring, but my yard looks better than it has in a long time. Flowers are going wild and the grass is green! I heard on the news this has been the second wettest May since records have been kept. I'll probably be wishing for more rain when July and August rolls around.
Have I mentioned before how thankful I am for the wonderful husband I have? He is the greatest blessing in my life--the Lord certainly knew what he was doing when he put us together. Any other man probably would have killed me in my sleep by now!
I'm thankful for good friends--old and new. Through various circumstances, I have reconnected with friends from high school and it's like the years have just melted away. Thirty years disappeared. I've missed these women and hope that we'll continue to catch up and remain close. And I've "met" some wonderful women through blogging. I look forward to "visiting" with them each day.
I'm thankful for a sweet daughter who listens to me and offers advice. Sometimes I wonder who is the mother and who is the daughter. She is wise beyond her years. I love her dearly and am very very proud of the woman she has become. I remember holding her in the hospital and just knowing we would be close. She is a very dear friend, as well as a daughter.
And the baton passes to you....

aww, the rain...me too! haven't had to water my straw bale garden!
Thanks for the nice comments!
I too like not having to water my yard...water is expensive!
I'm so glad you post this every week. It reminds me to do it too. Since I've started, several of my friends have started too. They're some of my favorite posts to read because they're always uplifting. I honestly believe that if our whole blogging community did this, we'd all be better people.
...I often find myself thinking of things I'm grateful for and telling myself, "Oh I've gotta write about that on Thursday".
On that note, I DID forget this week, luckily the night is not yet over!!!!
