Are You Ready for Fall?

It always takes me a little longer to jump on the bandwagon, but I've finally started doing a little fall decorating.  Each year, I tell myself I'm not going to do it, but I give in when I see all the pretty colors and things around.  One thing I love are the pumpkin towers!  Here are a couple of my inspirations.  Mine isn't quite so frou frou, but I like it anyway.  And it only cost about $10!

Plus I like the monogrammed pumpkins.  Finally decided to break down and buy one at Hobby Lobby.  Can you image my disappointment when I found out those bad boys cost upwards of $25!  Even at 40% off, that's too rich for my frugal blood.  So, I did the next best thing.  Bought a cute little pumpkin at Wally World for $.48/lb and stenciled our initial on it!  Cost for my monogrammed pumpkin:  a little over $3!

Here's the end result and I'm a happy camper!  Took about ten minutes to do the "monogram" and another ten for the stacked pumpkins.  I'm joining in with Melissa at 320 Sycamore for her Under $10 Under 1 Hour party.  Come see what's going on there and jump on the bandwagon, too!  Better late than never!

You are so smart not to get caught up in those expensive fake pumpkins. LOVE your real ones.

I'm not into "frou frou", so I love your pumpkin tower! DD really wanted a monogrammed pumpkin from Hobby Lobby but about had a stroke when she saw the price tag. Neither one of us thought of doing what you did ... stenciling the initial on a real pumpkin. I'll have to tell her that!

That's one thing we don't see here in Australia (well I don't any way) and that is seeing people decorate for the seasons, except for Christmas. The pumpkins look great!
