1. What's your favorite meal to serve on a chilly autumn evening? I have 3: chili and cornbread OR vegetable soup and biscuits OR chicken pot pie. The pot pie is super easy! Mix together one can of cream of chicken soup, one small can of chicken (drained), and one can of mixed vegetables (drained). Pour into a pie crust and top with a second crust. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes.
2. Are you a creature of habit? Explain. Pretty much. Just makes things go smoother and faster.
3. What food product (no longer readily available) do you remember and miss from days gone by? Postum! I don't drink coffee anymore and this was a good substitute. Alas, it no longer exists. Anybody know of something similar?
4. What's something you've lost that you've never been able to find? Any theories as to what happened? My high school ring. I'm guessing it got lost in one of our many moves.
6. What song makes you feel instantly happy? Fooled Around and Fell in Love
7. To what extent are you an argumentative person? Depends on who I'm talking to. Maybe 50%? Is that a cop out?
8. Insert your own random thought here. I thought of my random thought in the middle of the night, but now I can't remember it...

I love carnival food. One of my favorites are Navajo or Indian Taco's all that goodness piled on fried bread. Good thing I only get to eat them once a year.
I love Chicken pot pie and your recipe is so much easier than mine. It sounds a lot like my southwestern chicken pot pie. Which is a can of chicken (drained) a can of cream of chicken soup, a can of diced green chili's, a can of black beans. Then you put a mixed box of Jiffy corn bread over the top and bake.
My grandmother made the most wonderful chicken pot pie I've ever tasted in the world! None of us has ever been able to reproduce it. :(
Chicken pot pie sounds really yummy! my hubby doesn't like it so I don't make it. I could really go for some Chicken pot pie right now... Hodgepodge is making hungry. LOL!
I forgot about chicken pot pie. I make mine the same way (except I roast a couple of chicken breasts for the meat). I'm definitely going to make that over the weekend!
Thank you for stopping by my blog! I am also LDS and we used to drink Postum all the time. We did find something at the natural foods grocer called Pero. It's not the same as Postum but it'll do! And, chicken pot pie! YUM! I'm going to put that on my menu for next week. I love all of the autumn foods...bring on the comfort!
I love the Elvin Bishop song-that's a favorite here too! And now I'm craving chicken pot pie...I use cream of potato soup in my filling and its so good. Have a nice week!
