A Scot by the name of Robert Burns, is credited with writing Auld Lang Syne, although some of the words are not his original work. How's that for a piece of trivia to kick off the new year? If this is your first time playing along, then welcome. You probably were not expecting the Hodgepodge to be both fun and educational, were you? On to this week's questions...the first in a brand new year.
1. What three words would you use to describe 2010?
fast, exciting, blessed
2. If fear were not an issue what is something you'd like to try?
rock climbing--but with my fears of heights and falling, don't think it'll ever happen. and let's not start on my lack of upper body strength...
3. What do you add to your coffee or tea?
don't drink coffee. i add a spoonful of honey to my herb tea. but mainly i drink water (which i don't like flavored) and of course the nectar of the gods (aka diet mt dew)
4. What historical sporting event would you like to witness?
can't think of a one. me and sports don't mix.
5. What is one piece of advice you would like to give your sixteen year old self?
respect yourself. wait. one day you'll wish you'd never even held hands with someone else.
6. Are you a planner or do you prefer to fly by the seat of your pants?
yes. i plan, but can't usually translate what's in my head into reality. so i wind up flying by the seat of my pants.
7. What is one thing you are looking forward to in 2011?
starting college.
at least i think i'm looking forward to it.
when i'm not being scared to death!
when i'm not being scared to death!
8. Insert your own random thought here.

Great list Beverly. For someone who is scared of heights you look pretty darn good in your high heels on the rock wall. Lol.
I'm so with you on #5. :-( As well as #2 (for the exact same reasons!).
OH...I love the beach picture of the years changing and got a good laugh out of the trans fat donut. Thanks!
Not sure why my first comment didn't post.
Numbers 5&6 answers could have been written by me...spot on.
Number 8? Why can't they be as healthy as broccoli???
Like your questions to #8. College, that is huge! Liked your answers. I drink water with half lemonade. Not much coffee or tea.
Have a great week.
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love meeting new blog friends!
Congrats and best wishes on deciding to go to college. When I enrolled at age 50, I was scared to death! Once I got my mind trained again, I enjoyed learning new things. I was studying Early Childhood Education, working as a teacher's aide, and planning to start my own preschool. I became a grandma during this process, and decided I'd rather be free to spoil my own little ones, so I quit college--and work!
You're going back to college?!?! That's amazing ~ Good for you!
I need that t-shirt!
Good luck with starting college!
I think I'd like rock climbing, not that dangling upside down kind but a milder version I think would be fun.
Good luck with school!
Right there with you on the heights and falling...AND the doughnuts.
And good for you on the college thing!
